【英语讲故事比赛演讲稿】Good morning, everyone!
Today, I want to share a story with you. It’s not a very long story, but it has a deep meaning. The title of my story is "The Little Bird and the Big Tree."
Once upon a time, in a quiet forest, there was a tall and strong tree. It had been standing there for many years, watching over the animals and birds that lived around it. Every day, the birds would come and rest on its branches, singing songs and telling stories.
One day, a small bird landed on the tree. It was tired from flying and wanted to take a break. The big tree saw the little bird and said, “Why are you so small? You don’t look like you can do much.”
The little bird looked up at the tree and said, “I may be small, but I can fly high and far. I can travel to places you have never seen.”
The tree laughed and said, “That’s not important. What matters is strength and size. You’re just a tiny bird.”
But the little bird didn’t get upset. Instead, it kept flying and exploring. One day, a storm came. The wind blew strongly, and the tree shook. It tried to hold on, but it couldn’t. Finally, the big tree fell down, broken and fallen.
When the storm passed, the little bird returned. It saw the fallen tree and felt sad. But then it realized something: even though the tree was big and strong, it couldn’t survive the storm. However, the little bird, although small, could still fly and find a new place to live.
From that day on, the little bird learned that being small doesn’t mean being weak. Sometimes, the smallest things can have the greatest impact.
This story teaches us that we should not judge people or things by their size. Everyone has their own value, and sometimes the most important things come in small packages.
Thank you for listening to my story. I hope it brings you some inspiration.
