This week was quite eventful for me. As a high school freshman, I've been trying to balance my studies and personal life better. English has always been one of my favorite subjects, but it can sometimes feel challenging. This week, I focused on improving my writing skills by keeping an eye on grammar and vocabulary.
On Monday, our English teacher gave us a new topic to write about in our weekly journal. I chose to talk about my weekend activities. It was fun because I could use words I learned recently, like "explore" and "accomplish." On Tuesday, we had a reading session where we discussed a short story. The story was about friendship, which made me reflect on my own relationships with classmates.
Wednesday brought a math test, which took up most of the day. Afterward, I spent some time reviewing my notes from previous lessons to make sure I understood everything clearly. Thursday was lighter, and I managed to finish my homework early so that I could relax and watch a movie. Watching films is another way I practice my listening skills without realizing it!
Friday was our regular group project meeting. We're working on a presentation about famous inventors, and each member has their part to prepare. It's exciting to work together as a team and learn from each other. Over the weekend, I also tried to read more books in English. Even though they were short stories, I found them very engaging.
Overall, this week taught me the importance of balancing academics with leisure activities. Learning doesn't have to be stressful—it can be enjoyable too! I look forward to continuing my progress next week.
That’s all for now. Hope you enjoyed reading my little journal entry!
